This a blog of my thoughts on politics, religion, philosophy. I am a reclusive pilgrim searching for the meaning of life and the higher power of goodness, in this world . My desire is to share my thoughts of what I have discovered through experience.

Are We Capable of Understanding God?

Are we capable of understanding God?
There are those who would argue that we are not capable of understanding God because of a perception that we are limited in some way in our capacity to understand God. I believe that we are in fact very capable of understanding the lord. It is matter of whether or not we choose to take the time to learn and understand God. One of my many rules in life is that learning takes patients, and so too does understanding God. If you think you are incapable of understanding God then it is you who is placing the limitation on yourself, that you can not understand God or the very nature of his being. To understand God a person must also learn that anything and everything is possible. This no different than if you were to say I cannot learn math. Here you are placing limitation on yourself that you can not learn math. In the same vein I with the notion that we as humans can not be perfect. We can be perfect but does that make us infallible? No because of our human nature we are fallible. We can be perfect but that is a matter of perception of the self. The lord is both perfect and infallible. The lord may hold a standard and say we are perfect for his cause even though in our eyes we may still in fact be imperfect, and to our selves fallible. The Lord is forgiving of us, it is we who have to learn forgive ourselves, and it is we have who have to come to the conclusion that we are capable of understanding God knowing that it's just a matter of learning.

Considering the nature of God.

Let's us consider the nature of God. Since we perceive God as being a spiritual being what exactly is he made up of? Couldn't the lord be made up electro-magnetic energy that was shaped and defined by other elements? Say the one of elements was the love of the universe. Then you have a being that is by his very nature being of love. Can we as humans begin to gauge and measure the power of love? If that power were to take the form of a spiritual being then you would have a being that is so pure as to be too bright for human eye's to behold. The opposite of love is hate. Lets' say for the sake of argument that the forces of the universe created an opposite of God. If God is the perfect being of love and good then "evil" for all intents and purposes would be considered the perfect model of hatred. To hate what is loved. Such hatred would be vastly impure and darker than any night, that it would make anyone who feels the nature of true evil as being dirty. That is in contrast to the idea that to feel the presence of the lord is to feel the ultimate sense of being clean and pure. Further I agree with the definition of God as being outside of out side of the forces of time, since time was a measurement created by man. Further let me ask what if the lord existed in another relative dimension, one that makes him unseen to man but still connected to earth and the solar system? Science has already proven the existence of other dimensions other than our own. So could it not be entirely be possible that the lord exists outside of this dimension, a higher spiritual dimension? Following this line of reasoning we could then presume that the fallen angels reside in a lower dimension one often referred to as hell? In conclusion I believe that God was born from the Universe, is a being based upon the emotion of pure love and exists in another dimension close to our own, outside and above the limitations of space and time.

The Reason Why We Cannot See God.....

I believe that we face a choice in this life. We can either believe in God or not believe in God. It easier to not believe in God than it is to be a believer. Why? It’s easy to pick and choose our reasons for not believing God than it is to stand up and say I believe in God. It’s easier to turn a blind eye and say well since I don’t see God why should I believe in him? I don’t see Christ or the angels so I don’t believe in God. God has not manifested himself in my life why should I believe? Science cannot prove the existence of God so why should I believe in God if Science has not proved that there is a God? Though if you were to ask the faithful their reasons for believing in God you might get responses like; I believe in God because it’s tradition. I believe in God because I feel that there’s a higher being in the world and it is God. My own personal belief is that God does indeed exist. I believe that he is a loving and wise being who desires for me to follow the path that he sets before me. I also believe that to know God and to be faithful to him is a personal quest, one that only that the individual can undertake. It is the faithful who are tried and tested for their beliefs and faith, and it is the faithful who must justify their faith in God. It is easier to be a skeptic or not to believe than it is to be a follower of God’s. It sounds like a lot of work to be a faithful follower of God. And it is. That’s why a lot of good people quit in believing in and of God, because it’s easier not to believe, than it is to believe. Let me give you another example. You come to a fork in the road. You know where you want to go. There’s the high road and the low road. The high road is harder and might take longer to get you where you are going. The low road on the other hand is easier and will get you where you want to go sooner. Which do you choose? The high road offers a great reward at the end and the low road looks just as promising which would you choose knowing that the high road is the harder of the two roads to travel? If you take the high road then you are taking the road of faith and traveling will not be easy but if might offer you salvation. The low road is for the unfaithful. Those who do not believe and will only find damnation at the end. For the skeptic there might seem like there’s a third road, a middle road. Travel it if you will but it will get you no where in the end. Faith in the end is about the choice of human reason. Do we or don’t we believe? How we arrive at the answer that we base our reason upon will ultimately decide our fate. Thus in the end the reason we cannot see God is because we face test of faith and cannot see God until our faith has proven true.
